Representatives of flower business in Bishkek hold rally against cash registers

Flower growers and flower sellers also held a rally in Bishkek against the introduction of cash registers and electronic consignment notes. Participants of the rally told 24.kg news agency.

They ask to leave the license tax system.

«It will be very difficult for us to work under the electronic consignment notes system, since our goods are perishable. We ask to retain the license system, it’s convenient for us to work with it,» one of the rally participants, Alexandra Farmagei, said.

Flower grower Ekaterina Titova turned to President Sadyr Japarov and asked to reconsider the proposed tax changes.

«We grow flowers. Unfortunately, the law that was adopted has greatly worsened the situation for producers. Please reconsider this rule. We ask you to support your people,» she noted.

Earlier, sellers of three markets held rallies in Bishkek. Dordoi sellers protested against the transition to a special tax regime and demanded to continue working under the license.

License for trading activities will be canceled in Kyrgyzstan from January 1,2024. Dordoi and Kara-Suu markets are switching to a special tax regime. It means that cash registers will not be used in these markets, and the amount of tax payable will depend on the turnover of goods. At the same time, it will be possible to trade only inside the market.

Workers of Orto-Sai and Madina markets are unhappy that they will not be able to work under a special tax regime. They will have to use cash registers.

Sellers of Kara-Suu market also held a rally.
