It will be possible to pay for travel on Bishkek municipal transport in cash from November 1. Acting Vice Mayor of the capital Maksatbek Sazykulov told 24.kg news agency.
He stressed that it is not a differentiated tariff, the draft for the introduction of which has been submitted for public discussion, but a one-time ticket.
«This is a one-time ticket for travel for those citizens who, in violation of the rules for transporting passengers, according to which they must pay in cashless form, want to pay in cash. For them, fare will be 25 soms. This is a preventive measure to encourage citizens to switch to a cashless system, in which a trip costs 11 soms,» Maksatbek Sazykulov said.
He added that passengers who pay for travel in cash will get a ticket.
