Educational institutions switch to online classes for 2 days due to summits

All schools, secondary and higher educational institutions are switching to an online learning format for two days; kindergartens will not work. Nurzida Kasymova, head of the Preschool Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, announced at a briefing.

According to her, online classes will be held on October 25 and October 26. The Ministry of Education has already issued a corresponding order. It applies to educational institutions in Bishkek city and Sokuluk district of Chui region, regardless of their form of ownership.

This is already the second time for a month when children learn remotely. Previously, they also learned online on October 12-13, 2023, when Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Bishkek for a visit and a summit of CIS leaders was held.

Bishkek will host an official visit of the Premier of China Li Qiang and a working visit of the Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, as well as meetings of the Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council from October 23 to October 27.
