Osh and Rostov-on-Don become twin cities. The corresponding agreement was signed by officials.
Interaction between the cities of Osh and Rostov has been developing only since last year. Earlier, universities of the two cities signed cooperation agreements. Drivers from Kyrgyzstan are planned to be attracted to work in public transport in Rostov.
Rostov administration officials also announced the development of trade and economic cooperation between the cities of Rostov and Osh in the field of textile and leather industry.
«The deputies supported our initiative to establish twinning ties and sign an agreement on international inter-municipal cooperation with the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given positive recommendations in this regard,» the head of the city administration Alexei Logvinenko said in July.
