The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, within the framework of his working visit to New York (USA), met with the leader of the Republic of Korea.
The parties discussed the main aspects of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Sadyr Japarov, thanking his colleague for the initiative to organize the meeting, expressed hope that it would give a new impetus to the further development of interstate relations between the countries.
He stressed that strengthening and development of cooperation with Korea is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of the republic. Kyrgyzstan considers the Republic of Korea as one of its important and priority partners in the Asia-Pacific region. Interest was expressed in expanding cooperation with Korea in all priority areas of partnership.
Speaking about the initiative of the Kyrgyz side to restructure the external debt in exchange for green projects in the economy, the head of state also proposed to consider this option of cooperation in the bilateral context.
According to him, bilateral political dialogue has been actively developing in recent years.
Sadyr Japarov invited Yoon Suk Yeol to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, the President of Korea noted the recently intensified bilateral relations and the opened direct flight, which will accelerate the development of trade, economic, investment, tourism and cultural cooperation between the countries.
Yoon Suk Yeol said that he was informed about the construction of new cities, large investment projects in Kyrgyzstan, noting the readiness of the Korean side to participate in their implementation. Korea, for its part, is ready to share its advanced experience in the application of advanced technologies with all those who need it.
