Denis Fomin-Nilov has been appointed an Acting Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). The Telegram-channel of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation says.
It is noted that in 2001 Denis Fomin-Nilov graduated from the State University for the Humanities. In 2015, he underwent professional retraining at the National Research University Higher School of Economics on the program «Management of state and municipal orders». Mr. Fomin-Nilov holds a degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences and the academic rank of Associate Professor. He is the author of more than 40 scientific articles, 15 educational and methodological publications and a monograph.
«Denis Fomin-Nilov pays attention to educational, scientific and outreach activities. He has devoted more than 20 years to work at the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he still works as a senior researcher. He has held various managerial positions in his native university — the State Academic University for the Humanities, and since 2009 he has been working for the scientific and educational journal «History,» the statement says.
The last position before the appointment — head of the Center for the Development of Historical Education and Science of the State Academic University for the Humanities.
It was reported earlier that the rector of KRSU Vladimir Nifadyev was removed from the post. He had been heading the university for almost 30 years.
