Antimonopoly Service reaches agreement with retail chains on sugar prices

The Antimonopoly Regulation Service has concluded an agreement on cooperation in the market in order to maintain the most affordable prices for granulated sugar for the population. The press service of the agency reported.

The agreements were concluded with the producers of the product Kaindy Kant OJSC and Koshoi OJSC, and Umai Group LLC (Narodny, Globus, Dostor chain stores), Asia Retail CJSC (Asia hypermarket), as well as with Boorsok Invest LLC (Alma) and Sheker wholesale market.

The chain stores with a billing system will sell granulated sugar with a limit of 1 kilogram per day per one loyalty card with a markup not higher than 2 soms per kilogram to the wholesale price of manufacturing plants, over 1 kilogram — with a markup not higher than 7 soms per kilogram.

Trading networks without billing system will sell granulated sugar at retail price with a markup not higher than 5 soms per kilogram to the wholesale price of manufacturing plants.

«The agreement is open for joining by trading networks, which are ready to assume obligations to set the price,» the Antimonopoly Regulation Service informed.
