Astana hosted the 22nd ITF World Taekwon-Do Championship. The Taekwondo Federation informed 24.kg news agency.
The Congress of International ITF Federations took place as part of the event, where representatives of 87 countries participated. Athletes from 68 countries participated in the World Championship. Kyrgyzstan was represented by 22 athletes from Bishkek, Chui region and Balykchy.
Results of the national team of Kyrgyzstan:
- Ramiz Daistrokov — second place in sparring among juniors up to 65 kilograms;
- Ainazik Abdujabbirova — third place in junior sparring up to 40 kilograms;
- Gulzara Mikhmanova — third place in sparring among veterans over 34 years old in the weight category up to 62 kilograms;
- Eliza Sharshekeyeva — third place in sparring among juniors up to 64 kilograms;
- Vladislav Petrenko — third place in sparring among juniors up to 63 kilograms and third place in personal special techniques among 16-17 years old juniors;
- Muslim Tolkumbaev — third place in sparring among juniors up to 69 kilograms.
