Investigation into the case of rape in Chon-Tash village, Tyup district of Issyk-Kul region of three girls with disabilities has been completed. The local police station confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
Materials of the case are being prepared for court. Accusation of rape and molestation of minors was brought against the uncle of the girls, who lived next door to them. He is being held in the pretrial detention center 3 in Karakol city. The suspect pleads not guilty.
Meeting of the Coordinating Council with the participation of the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights and other services, as well as NGOs on gross violations of the rights of girls and women in the region will be held in September at the state administration of Issyk-Kul region.
