Salaries of trolleybus drivers will be increased to 50,000 soms in September. Director of the Bishkek Trolleybus Department Talantbek Kaparov told 24.kg news agency.
He recalled that non-cash payment will be introduced in public transport from August 20, and in this regard, a meeting with drivers was held.
«We announced that we will increase salaries to 50,000 soms. But some do not agree, saying that it is necessary to raise it up to 60,000-70,000 soms. However, the company can not do it. We are already increasing their salaries almost twice,» he said.
Talantbek Kaparov added that at the meeting, drivers were promised that salaries would be reviewed in 2024 and another increase is possible.
«We have 770 employees. Of these, 270 are drivers, and we increase only their salaries,» he added.
The director said that about 30 −40 drivers had written letters of resignation. «We will consider them,» he concluded.
Drivers held a rally today. They told that about 100 people had already written letters of resignation.
