A pedestrian overpass under construction collapsed in Osh city. Video of the incident was published by a journalist Shokhrukh Saipov.
The incident occurred on August 5 at about 1.30 a.m. at the intersection of Navoi and Masaliev streets. Some of the structures collapsed. The Capital Construction Department of the City Hall of the southern capital reported that the reinforcing structure was not damaged.
Sapat Stroy LTD LLC won the competition for construction of this pedestrian overpass, which proposed to implement the project for 45.3 million soms. The company is headed by 26-year-old Amantur Abylov, information about him could not be found in open sources. The City Hall of Osh previously stated that the pedestrian overpass would be built in accordance with all standards, including for people with disabilities, mothers with children and the elderly.
