The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan intends to cancel the relaxations for commercial banks introduced in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers was submitted for public discussion.
In particular, it is planned to renew the requirements for disclosure of information by commercial banks, preparation of financial statements and their submission by non-banking financial and credit organizations, as well as calculation of the liquidity coverage ratio of commercial banks.
The draft also provides for new deadlines for commercial banks to comply with certain standards and requirements of the National Bank in terms of providing information on bank risk events, calculating the liquidity coverage ratio, liquidity indicators, short-term liquidity and instant liquidity in foreign currency and compliance by banks with the liquidity coverage ratio.
