Kyrgyzstanis more often violate migration legislation – Interior Ministry

A regular working meeting of the leadership of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took place in Moscow. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported.

Vitaly Yakovlev, deputy head of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presented a detailed overview of the migration situation in Russia and up-to-date statistical data. Together with representatives of departments, he answered the questions of partners regarding the stay in the Russian Federation of citizens of the CIS countries and changes in Russian migration legislation.

The need for active work of embassies with diasporas was again stressed for strict compliance of foreign citizens with the migration regime.

According to official data, 511,000 reports of offenses against foreigners were drawn up in the first quarter of 2023. About 150,000 of them are related to violations of migration laws. It was noted that most of these offenses are committed by citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

The next meeting in this format is scheduled for early October.
