A teddy bear has been chosen as the mascot of the European Football Championship 2024, which will be held in Germany. UEFA website says.
A name for the mascot will be chosen within the next two weeks. There are four options: Albärt, Bärnardo, Bärnheart or Herzi von Bär.
«The mascot pays homage to the popular children’s teddy bear toy, which is said to have originated in Germany in the early 20th century,» UEFA said.
Euro 2024 will take place from June 14 to July 14 in ten German cities.
