Large fire broke out on Matrosov Street in Bishkek last night

A large fire broke out in Bishkek last night. The fire area was 3,800 square meters. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

«Information about a fire in a warehouse located along Matrosov Street, 1a was received on the night of June 9. Ten fire brigades and the rescue service were involved in extinguishing the fire. In addition, three crews of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a water carrier arrived at the scene. The fire was brought under control at 4.39 a.m. The approximate area of the fire was 3,800 square meters,» the statement says.

Thanks to the prompt actions of firefighters, part of the building materials and other goods stored in nearby warehouses were saved. Rescuers of the Bishkek City Rescue Service promptly took out 22 oxygen cylinders and 5 propane cylinders, eliminating the danger of an explosion.
