President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and head of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino opened a new administrative office of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU) in Bishkek.
The four-story building was built according to the project of FIFA Forward Programme and is equipped with modern equipment.
The head of state noted the contribution of FIFA to the development of Kyrgyz football and expressed gratitude for the support provided in improving the sports infrastructure.
Sadyr Japarov added that of all sports, football is very close to him, like for many Kyrgyzstanis. He is enthusiastic about initiatives to develop domestic football and is interested in the country’s active participation in FIFA projects.
According to him, the most important direction of the state social policy is to take care of the spiritual and physical health of the population, and promotion of physical culture and sports plays an important role in the social and economic development of the country.
He recalled the latest achievements of Kyrgyz athletes in international competitions, which united the people and became a strong motivation for the youth. Therefore, Kyrgyzstanis expect the same high results from the national team at the Asian Cup.
Sadyr Japarov wished the national football players victories in the upcoming matches and fruitful work to the Kyrgyz Football Union.
