A new Youth Center is being built in Osh with the support of the City Hall and UNDP. Press service of the City Hall reported.
According to it, the First Deputy Mayor of the city Mars Isaev met with UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Kyrgyzstan Monica Rizal and discussed cooperation.
The official told about the priority areas of work of the City Hall in accordance with the program of social and economic development of Osh for 2023-2026 approved this year.
He noted the importance of building the new center at the City Committee for Youth Affairs. A land plot has been allocated for the construction of the facility, the construction is carried out and the necessary equipment is provided jointly with UNDP.
Monica Rizal provided information on ongoing projects in the city. In particular, issues of implementation of peacebuilding projects, ensuring equal access to employment for men and women, and supporting start-up youth initiatives were discussed.
The UNDP Resident Representative was asked to provide material and technical support in equipping kindergartens and schools. Monica Rizal promised to consider the issue together with partners from UNICEF.
