The number of Russians who visited Kyrgyzstan in 2022 almost doubled compared to 2021. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the service, 649,919 citizens of the Russian Federation arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic last year, 621,232 departed. In 2021, the number of Russians who visited Kyrgyzstan was about 1.9 times less.
Meanwhile, as the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic told TASS, about 15,200 people are permanently registered with the consular department of the diplomatic mission.
«Almost 6,500 are temporary registered,» the diplomatic mission noted. These figures have not changed much over the past few years.
In accordance with the legislation, Russians staying in the republic can register with the consulate on a voluntary basis, so many of them do not see the need to visit the consular departments.
