Fire at Alkoni plant in Bishkek extinguished

The fire that broke out last night at Alkoni plant in Bishkek was completely extinguished after 11 hours. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

«The fire area was about 3,500 square meters. It spread to 11 shipping containers located nearby. Thanks to the prompt actions of firefighters, 23 containers were saved,» the ministry informed.

Information about fire on Isakeyev Street in Oktyabrsky district of the capital was received at 3.10 a.m. Five fire brigades, staff, a water carrier and a task unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations worked at the scene. The fire was brought under control at 5.55 a.m.
