Residents of border villages in Batken region complain about difficulties in obtaining child allowances. Press service of the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan reports.
According to it, Atyr Abdrakhmatova received citizens in district and rural administrations from March 14 to March 21. Most of the questions concerned violation of the rights to receive guaranteed social assistance for children from the state.
Since January 2023, residents have been facing a problem when receiving child allowances, they cannot get the necessary certificate to submit to the local social security authority.
The Ombudsman calls on government agencies to take action. «The state policy on the introduction of digitalization should not become an obstacle to receiving pensions and allowances. The Cabinet of Ministers urgently needs to take action and ensure the rights of children to allowances,» she said.
Atyr Abdrakhmatova noted that the digitalization of the public administration system should not complicate the lives of ordinary citizens, creating barriers for them in documenting and receiving social benefits and payments.
