The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan will check earthquake resistance of all buildings and houses. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov said at a meeting of Parliament.
Deputy Marlen Mamataliev proposed to check the quality of high-rise buildings.
«Yes, we have already given such an order. The quality of concrete can be checked using a Kashkarov’s hammer. We ordered it. We will check the layers with special X-ray machines. If it is necessary to strengthen it, we will find builders, responsible persons, even if 10 years have passed, and we will force the building to be strengthened. We will do this work in a year,» Akylbek Japarov said.
The head of the Cabinet replied that control over the construction sector would be strengthened. «In Turkey, the mayor of one municipality controlled the construction very well, and his city survived,» the official added.
According to Akylbek Japarov, greed is destroying businessmen in the construction sector. «Builders, instead of finishing one house, are digging several pits. It was not in vain that we transferred the architecture sector to the City Hall of the capital. We will also give the master plan to the City Hall,» Akylbek Japarov said.
