Sadyr Japarov hands over vehicles to ministries and Bishkek City Hall

The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov handed over buses, ambulances and fire engines to two ministries and the Bishkek City Hall on Ala-Too square.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations received 100 units of special modern fire-fighting equipment from China free of charge.

According to the press service of the ministry, it was achieved as a result of negotiations between Sadyr Japarov and the Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The special fire equipment includes 75 vehicles with a carrying capacity of 5 tons of water, 10 vehicles with a carrying capacity of 8 tons, 10 rescue vehicles, 3 fire engines with a tower 50 meters high, 10 rescue bags and 5 hanging tanks for a helicopter.

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Health presented 33 Sobol and GAZelle ambulances. It is noted that as part of the implementation of Safe City component of the Smart City project in 2022, the ministry was allocated additional 169,347,500 soms for the purchase of vehicles.

The vehicles will be delivered to remote areas, regional and district centers, to specialized ambulance teams in the cities of Bishkek and Osh.

The City Hall of Bishkek also participated in the equipment handover ceremony. It presented 120 buses, which the City Hall previously purchased from a Chinese company at the expense of the city budget for 1 billion soms.

According to Maksat Nusuvaliev, director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the City Hall of the capital, the buses will start serving their routes within one — two weeks.
