Stocks of essential food products are available in sufficient quantities in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobaev announced.
According to him, there are stocks of food wheat, flour, vegetable oil and sugar in the warehouses of the State Material Reserves Fund.
«Food safety is also included in the basis of state security. Given this, the issue of exempting food products from paying value added tax is being considered,» the official said.
He added that if the stocks of food wheat at flour mills are exhausted, then there will be enough raw materials in the warehouses of the State Material Reserves Fund. There is no problem with vegetable oil. Negotiations are underway with oil production plants on further processing of sunflower. There is no problem with sugar. During this year, Koshoi and Kaindy Kant plants produced 62,000 tons of sugar.
