Payments for public services to be accepted in non-cash form in Kyrgyzstan

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, together with the National Bank, decided to accept payments for all state and municipal services in non-cash form. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

Citizens can pay for public services using bank cards, electronic money, QR codes, payment terminals and/or other tools. The decision was made to switch to non-cash payments and settlements throughout Kyrgyzstan, introduce digital payments, develop other payment acceptance tools, achieve transparency in money circulation, reduce the share of the shadow economy and protect consumer rights.

«State and municipal institutions that provide services to consumers on a paid basis must ensure the installation of equipment (software and hardware device) designed to accept payments using bank cards, electronic money, QR codes, payment terminals and / or other tools. It is recommended for commercial banks and payment organizations to provide them with the necessary equipment,» the Cabinet said.
