International reserves of Kyrgyzstan grow by $192.47 million for month

As a result of November 2022, the gross international reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached $2,779.55 billion. Website of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic says.

Over the past month, the gross international reserves grew by $192.47 million. Compared to November last year, they decreased by $167.56 million. Since the beginning of the year, the figure decreased by $198.01 million. The highest level of the reserves was registered in September 2021 — $3,241.14 billion.

The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. Last year, it conducted 15 interventions, having sold $698,95 million. From the beginning of 2022 to April 5, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted five interventions to sell the foreign currency in the amount of $284.3 million and seven interventions to buy $190,740 million. As a result, net sales amounted to $93.56 million.
