Stalbek Akhunbaev has been appointed an Advisor to the President of Kyrgyzstan on a voluntary basis. The corresponding order was signed by Sadyr Japarov.
He is the rector of the International Higher School of Medicine. It is known that Stalbek Akhunbaev is a representative of the well-known medical dynasty of the Akhunbaevs. He is a surgical oncologist by profession, Doctor of Medical Sciences. He graduated from the capital's school No. 24 with honors, then from the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute with honors.
In 2020, by decree of the President of the country, he was awarded the state award in the field of science and technology.
