Inflation in Kyrgyzstan begins to slow down

Inflation rates in Kyrgyzstan show a deceleration trend. Official representative of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Aida Karabayeva told at a press conference.

As of November 18, 2022, annual inflation was 14.5 percent. It decreased from 15.4 percent in October 2022. At the same time, it is noted that the global conjuncture remains uncertain. World prices for food products, energy sources and other commodities, despite a consistent decline, remain high.

«It is expected that the slowdown in inflationary processes will continue in 2023. Therefore, the priority task is to conduct a coordinated fiscal and monetary policy to maintain macroeconomic stability,» the National Bank stressed.
