The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan submitted for public discussion the draft main directions for the development of the payment system for 2023–2027. The document was published on the website of the bank.
The project provides for the improvement of the regulatory legal framework, including for the development of digital payment technologies and innovative products.
At the same time, special attention will be paid to the project for the creation and development of the digital currency of the National Bank.
The main directions for the development of the payment system also include increasing the share of non-cash payments and settlements, especially in the regions of the country, improving mechanisms for intersystem integration between all participants in the payment market and ensuring security of the payment system.
The National Bank will also actively support banks in the implementation of innovative products and services as part of measures to digitalize payment services.
The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic is sure that by implementing the strategy, convenient, fast, secure payment instruments and services will be provided for the population and businesses.
