Kyrgyzstani Daiyrbek Kariyaev became the world champion in combat sambo. The results of the first day of the competitions, which take place in Bishkek, appeared on the website of the International Sambo Federation.
Daiyrbek Kariyaev competed in the weight category up to 79 kilograms. In the final, he defeated a Kazakh athlete.
The World Sambo Championship is being held in Bishkek on November 11-13.
