Aziza Abdirasulova calls on authorities for bilateral open dialogue

Human rights activist Aziza Abdirasulova demands from the authorities to hold an open bilateral dialogue. She announced this at a press conference at 24.kg news agency.

According to the human rights activist, when the authorities invite 300 people to come, warning in advance: what will be said at the meeting is classified information, then this is not a dialogue, but a one-sided communication of information.

«This event further exacerbated the situation. Many have questions about what they are hiding, what they told 300 participants that we don’t know. The meeting should be open, bilateral. This is not about the private property of the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, or President Sadyr Japarov. This is our land. I am from the south and grew up there. Kempir-Abad has a completely different story. Therefore, the dialogue should be open and transparent,» she said.

The head of state met with civil activists and discussed the issue of Kempir-Abad reservoir on October 20. However, the meeting was held behind closed doors.

The Committee for protection of Kempir-Abad reservoir was created on October 22. It includes activists, politicians and MPs.
