At least 28 fires occurred in Kyrgyzstan over the past 24 hours. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
«About 13 fires were registered in Chui region, 7 — in Jalal-Abad region, 4 — in Osh region, and one fire — in Naryn region. Three fires occurred in Bishkek,» the ministry said.
At least 33 fire departments were involved in extinguishing the fires. The rescue service made two trips. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds the Kyrgyzstanis about the fire safety rules in the autumn-winter period and recommends:
- To check the operable condition of the stove and chimney before the start of the heating season, do not use faulty stoves and chimneys;
- Not to leave heating stoves unattended;
- Not to use several powerful electrical appliances at the same time, do not leave them unattended;
- To place turned on heaters, electric stoves at a safe distance from furniture and other flammable materials;
- To prevent use of faulty devices, wires with bare areas, poor contact in the places of connection;
- Not allow storage of containers with combustible substances in residential premises, on attics, balconies and in basements. Place gas cylinders outside buildings;
- When smoking, do not forget the fire safety rules.
