Russia ready to invest in development of digitalization in Kyrgyzstan

«Russian business is ready to invest in transport and logistics infrastructure,» Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, said at the Russian-Kyrgyz Investment Forum.

According to him, a course has been taken in Kyrgyzstan to introduce digital technologies in all spheres of life. Digitalization in the public sector of the republic is being implemented, including on the basis of Russian software and by Russian specialists.

«It is very important for us. We are ready to continue to offer solutions in the areas of e-government, smart and safe city, information security, and energy efficiency. Russian business is ready to invest in transport and logistics infrastructure,» Alexey Overchuk said.

He also noted that the issue of import substitution is especially relevant today. New trade links and production chains are being built. In particular, new incentives are being created to attract investment within the framework of the EAEU. The possibility of subsidizing interest rates on loans for projects that will ensure a higher level of integration of the EAEU economies is being considered.

In addition, Alexey Overchuk said that the Import Substitution Exchange digital service has been launched in Russia, which allows to post information about manufactured industrial products, as well as conclude contracts for their supply. This service is currently available to relevant entities in all EAEU member states.

«We, within the framework of the EAEU, are starting to form maps of joint projects, exchanging information on ongoing or planned projects. All this will contribute to the consolidation and convergence of the business of our countries. In order to attract investments, I consider it important to form predictable mechanisms for interaction between the state and investors. It is important to work on improving the investment environment both in bilateral and multilateral formats, primarily with the involvement of the institutions of the EAEU and the CIS. In fact, with the help of these two associations, we are creating a single investment space. We study the experience of work with investors from other countries in order to create a register of best practices. We expect to form certain general recommendations, a kind of Eurasian investment standard,» the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation concluded.
