Kyrgyzstanis hold rally near Embassy of Tajikistan in Japan

Kyrgyzstanis living in Japan held a rally in front of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Tokyo. One of the rally participants, Gulzar Asanova, told 24.kg news agency.

According to her, the compatriots opposed the aggression of Tajikistan.

«That’s a pity that the neighboring state claims our lands, sheds the blood of civilians. Children are dying at the border. We demand from the aggressor to stop invasion of Kyrgyzstan and not use weapons at the border. We also appealed to the Japanese society and journalists with a request to condemn Rahmon’s aggression,» she said.

Emergency situation has been introduced in Batken region. Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. Settlements in Leilek and Batken district came under fire. The Ministry of Health reported 198 victims, 59 people were killed. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts, as well as Dzhekendi village in Chon-Alai district of Osh region, left their homes.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan opened a criminal case on crimes against peace.
