The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan condemned the terrorist attack that took place on Monday near the Russian Embassy in Kabul and, according to preliminary data, claimed the lives of more than 20 people. Press service of the ministry reported.
Kyrgyzstan condemns any acts of terrorism directed against civilians and foreign diplomats. They must be thoroughly investigated and those responsible brought to justice.
«The Kyrgyz Republic reaffirms its support and commitment to the uncompromising fight against terrorism and extremism in any form and calls for further strengthening of the coordination of the entire international community in this matter. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured,» the statement says.
A suicide attack near the Russian Embassy killed and injured at least 25 people, Al Jazeera reported. Two embassy employees are among the dead, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed.
