Inflation accelerated again and reached 15.4 percent as of August 19 in Kyrgyzstan. The National Bank provided such data.
The rate was 13.8 percent in July. The National Bank considers the absence of seasonal deflation in summer as the main manifestation of the ongoing inflationary pressure.
A slowdown in inflationary processes is expected in the first half of 2023 against the backdrop of stabilization and adaptation of the global economy to new trade and economic ties in global commodity markets.
«A significant contribution to slowing down the inflation will also be made by the ongoing monetary policy of the National Bank and the ongoing measures of the Cabinet of Ministers to stabilize inflation in the country,» the statement says.
