Kanatbek Aziz has been appointed a Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state.
Kanatbek Aziz is a lawyer, former deputy chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Political and Legal Sciences. In October 2020, he ran for Parliament from Mekenim Kyrgyzstan party. He was a lawyer of the ex-deputy chairman of the Customs Service, Raiymbek Matraimov, and also defended the leader of Ata Meken party Omurbek Tekebayev.
