For seven months of 2022, budget expenditures for repaying the public debt are estimated at 18,880 billion soms. The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
Most of the amount — 11,997 billion soms — was spent on payments on external debt. About 6,883 billion soms were allocated to pay off the internal public debt.
As a result of the first half of 2022, the public debt of Kyrgyzstan reached $5.2 billion.
