Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the World Bank Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic Naveed Hassan Naqvi. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
They discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of economy, energy, healthcare, digitalization, water and land resources. The parties also discussed implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov to Washington (USA) as part of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the WB Group and the International Monetary Fund.
Naveed Hassan Naqvi told Akylbek Japarov about the upcoming Bishkek Economic Forum, as well as the visit of the WB Managing Director of Operations Axel van Trotsenburg. A framework agreement for strategic partnership for a five-year period is currently being prepared and is planned to be presented to the Kyrgyz side in the first quarter of 2023.
In turn, the Chairman of the Cabinet expressed his readiness to assist in organizing the upcoming forum at a high level.
