More than six tons of hemp were destroyed in Kara-Kul town. Press service of the Internal Affairs Department of Jalal-Abad region reported.
Police officers mowed down and burned wild hemp from four hectares of land.
«The purpose of destruction of wild hemp is to prevent the spread of drugs among teenagers. Hemp was mowed down in Zhazy-Kechuu, Kambar-Ata and Kok-Bel villages,» the department said.
