Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with the newly appointed Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) system in Kyrgyzstan Antje Grawe. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Edil Baisalov outlined the priority areas of the Government’s activities. He emphasized the special significance of the initiatives in the field of sustainable mountain development, which were embodied in a number of resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly. The official also expressed hope for continued joint work in all areas of mutual interest.
In turn, Antje Grawe noted her readiness to continue work on ongoing projects that are being implemented in Kyrgyzstan, outlining the positive dynamics in promoting the mountain topic within the international agenda.
