Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council to visit Kyrgyzstan

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf will visit five countries of Central Asia — Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Website of the organization says.

Before the start of the tour, Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf noted the importance of relations between the GCC and the countries of Central Asia, emphasizing the dedication and desire to strengthen relations in all directions to serve common interests.

He expressed the hope that the trip will contribute to the opening of new horizons for joint work, cooperation and coordination in all areas between the GCC countries and the Central Asian republics.

According to him, such cooperation will lead to strengthening the areas of economic cooperation, trade exchange, energy, water and food security, strengthening security and stability, as well as supporting sustainable development efforts.

The GCC is a regional, intergovernmental, political and economic union that includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The main headquarters is located in the capital of Saudi Arabia — Riyadh.
