Son of Moldomusa Kongantiev appointed First Deputy Head of Customs Service

Avtandil Kongantiev, the son of ex-minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Moldomusa Kongantiev, has been appointed the First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the department reported.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov signed the relevant order.

The Colonel of the Customs Service Avtandil Kongantiev began his career in 2005 as an inspector of the Customs Control Department at the Manas customs. From 2006 to 2014, he served at the Severnaya railway customs office in various positions at the Customs Clearance Department.

From 2014 to 2016, he worked as the chief inspector of the customs clearance group at the Center for Customs Processes of Bishkek Free Economic Zone of the Central Customs.

In 2016, he became the deputy head of the Osh customs, then in 2017, the deputy head of Severnaya railway customs.

In 2018, he worked for four months as the chief inspector of the customs clearance group at the Customs Administration Center ZhD Severnaya of the North-Eastern Customs.

From 2018 to 2021, in different periods, he was the deputy, and later the head of Severnaya and Manas Customs.

Then, from May 26 to June 8, he worked for a week as acting deputy head of the Main Department for Combating Smuggling.

From June 8 to the present day, for about two months, he was the deputy head of the Main Department for Combating Smuggling.

The ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Moldomusa Kongantiev died on February 12 this year in Osh at the age of 63. He was accused of negligence during the March 2005 events and abuse of power during the April 2010 events. The Pervomaisky District Court acquitted Moldomusa Kongantiev. In December 2019, the court fully acquitted the Police Lieutenant General.
