Construction of settlement for the Pamir Kyrgyz will begin in the spring of 2023. The Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration Kudaibergen Bazarbaev announced during a meeting with the Pamir Kyrgyz living in Chon-Alai district.
According to the press service of the ministry, Kudaibergen Bazarbaev visited a professional lyceum, which houses seven families of the Pamir Kyrgyz (22 people), got acquainted with their living conditions. The minister also examined the land plot on which houses for the Pamir Kyrgyz will be built.
«By order of the President Sadyr Japarov and the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, almost 300 million soms and about 70 hectares of land were allocated from the budget for construction of the settlement. Construction will begin next spring,» he said.
According to Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, 400 families, or about 1,500 Pamir Kyrgyz, are planned to be resettled to Chon-Alai district in the next 2-3 years.
