Construction of first two houses for Pamir Kyrgyz starts in Chon-Alai

A capsule was laid at the construction site of the first two houses for ethnic Kyrgyz from the Little and Big Pamirs in Chon-Alai district of Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the state administration of the district reported.

The houses are being built on Burgan-Suu site, which was previously transformed for the construction of individual residential buildings and social facilities. Construction of a two-story school is also being completed there, it is designed for 275 students. It is scheduled to be commissioned in September.

Head of the district Temirbolot Abykeyev noted that houses for 127 families will be built on 30 hectares of the transformed land.

«At least 70 million soms were allocated last year, 10 million soms of which were transferred to the district budget. We started building houses for four families. On May 16, the Cabinet of Ministers issued an order to allocate 80 million soms. The customer is Gosstroy, the executor is the Department for Presidential Affairs,» he said.
