Another rally against casinos takes place near the building of the Parliament in Bishkek.
About 20 people participate in the protest. They demand to withdraw the bill on gambling activity.
«We’ve gone through this before. Then there were many people who suffered from gambling activities. People lost houses, cars, families broke up. Then, after the protests, the casinos were closed, and what is the point of reopening them now? The deputies say that they have secured the people of Kyrgyzstan. They say that they understand that this is evil. Is it then ethical to cash in on grief, the broken fates of other people?» Azat Amanov, one of the protesters, said.
Earlier, the relevant committee approved the draft law in two readings. The document was discussed behind closed doors. At the request of the Cabinet of Ministers, the bill was adopted immediately in the second and third readings. It will be considered at a meeting of Parliament.
