The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan proposes to increase benefits for victims of the events on March 17-18, 2002 in Aksy district, April and June 2010 events and victims of border conflict on April 28-30, 2021 in Batken region. The bill has been submitted for public discussion.
As background statement says, to date, 562 people receive an additional social benefit of 3,700 soms.
«Despite the increase in prices for food, basic commodities, medicines and medical services, the amount of benefits has remained unchanged for several years,» the ministry added.
The Ministry of Labor proposes to increase the amount of benefits to 5,500 soms from October 1. According to calculations, this will require 22.4 million soms per year from the republican budget and 5.6 million soms for 2022.
