Clergy of muftiyat gets new uniform in Kyrgyzstan

Muftiyat handed out a new uniform to the clergy. The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) reported.

According to it, a total of 3,800 units of the new uniform were made.

Employees of Chui and Bishkek mosques were the first to receive the clothes in dark blue colors with a headwear.

A single uniform of the clergy has been already approved in 2009. Then it was a white chapan embroidered with a national pattern. Chapan of the Mufti of the Kyrgyz Republic was distinguished by a more complex ornament. Spiritual leaders are also required to wear badges depicting the black stone, the symbol of Mecca. The clergy representatives should work in the uniform of the established sample only.
