The media and the Ministry of Education and Science should conduct anti-corruption propaganda. Director of the International Education and Research Center Almaz Ibraev stated at a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Business Council.
According to him, some methods of combating corruption are not included in the anti-corruption strategy.
«It is no secret that corruption exists in all areas, starting from kindergarten. It is impossible to send a child in a kindergarten without money. This means that this phenomenon must be combated in all state structures. We must work with the citizens themselves, create an ideology, rejection of corruption. This can be achieved with the help of the media, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education. Corruption is not just a crime, but a phenomenon that harms the future of the state. Corruption is not only when a person takes a bribe, but also when he or she gives it. Our citizens themselves do not hesitate to give bribes and do not realize that they are committing a crime. They act in their own interests,» Almaz Ibraev said.
