An agreement was signed on creation of a single Eurasian Association of Internet Commerce on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek. Press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
«In autumn of 2021, heads of government of our countries approved a road map to create favorable conditions for e-commerce, which includes development of a draft of a specific international agreement,» the Minister in charge of Trade of EEC Andrei Slepnev said.
One of the points of the road map was the creation of voluntary associations of electronic commerce in the union. They are needed to develop rules for participants on the basis of self-regulation, to protect the interests of citizens and entrepreneurs.
«For our part we are ready to prepare the necessary legal framework. We offer business to conduct technical interaction on the remaining issues on their own, for example, within the framework of interaction between associations,» Andrei Slepnev concluded.
