Goal was set to complete the feasibility study for the construction of Kyrgyzstan — China railway by the end of 2022. The Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Turgunbaev said at the 1st Eurasian Economic Forum.
According to him, construction of the road is a promising project. It should link China and Europe. It is too early now to talk about any success in its implementation.
«We understand: if the project works, then it will become a leap in the development of economy of our republic and all other countries of the EAEU. We have a land plot that can be surveyed, we need to analyze it from a logistical and financial point of view. We look forward to soonest completion of the project. In general, development of transport networks and logistics to third countries indicate the intention to develop the direction. Development of transport corridors will give impetus to the sphere of cargo transportation in the first place, and then to other types of economy,» Almaz Turgunbaev said.
